Following the sending of our annual reports earlier this week, we are now absolutely delighted to share with you our statutory assessment results for Summer 2025.
During your child(ren)’s time with us, they participate in statutory assessments at 4 points: the end of the Reception year (where they are assessed against 17 Early Learning Goals); the end of Year 1 (where their Phonics knowledge is checked); the end of Year 4 (where their automaticity in times tables is checked); and the end of Year 6, where they participate in SATs tests in Reading, Maths and Grammar/Punctuation/Spelling and are teacher-assessed in Writing and Science.
Every cohort of children is different and so we generally do not look too much upon year-on-year comparisons, but more, how that particular group of children has performed against their own prior attainment.
This year’s crop of children have excelled!
At all data points, they have exceeded our expectations of them, and we could not be more proud.
The Year 6 SATs are the best results we have ever had, with over ⅔ of the yeargroup achieving at the higher level in the Reading, Maths and Grammar/Punctuation/Spelling SATs. This puts BCS in the 99% percentile nationally for KS2 attainment.
These results do not happen by accident - they are the result of the hard work of an incredibly dedicated, expert team of teachers and support staff, who are unwavering in their commitment to secure the best outcomes for our children. We are very lucky to have them! 🙏
