Some of our courageous advocacy team went on a trip to the Hope Centre Pantry in Partington this week. We were able to help sort all the food we donated at Harvest onto shelves. It was great to see how the foodbank is helping the Partington community so much.

The workers and volunteers at the Hope Centre gave us a briefing and told us how much it means to all the staff and members knowing they're helping others in need.
It was also a lot of fun seeing the toys they collect for Christmas and children’s birthday presents.
Some workers at the Hope Centre told us that not everyone likes to be seen going to a foodbank because it makes them feel sad and ashamed. The Hope Centre is different because the people that use it have tokens that allow them to buy food and necessities at very reduced prices. They can do one big shop or a small shop but either way they make sure it's still affordable.
I would encourage everyone to carry on donating where possible because it makes a noticeable difference to so many people.
