On Wednesday, Year 5 enjoyed a thrilling road trip around the USA from the comfort of school, using Virtual Reality headsets.
Each group was able to explore the different biomes of the USA and experience the natural wonders of geography: from the tundra of Alaska, through the fault block mountains of Yosemite to the coral cays of the Caribbean Sea. We were amazed by the dramatically different landscapes we travelled through

We made lots of new discoveries:
Moses: We realised that there could be snow in the desert.
Darcey - We spotted that Niagara Falls is the border between Canada and the USA.
Magnus - We learnt how animals can cope in different climates and biomes.
Elijah - We noticed that cacti could grow much taller than humans!
