Macbeth

Year 6 were treated to a production of Macbeth today, which they will use to inspire their writing this Autumn. They were buzzing afterwards and made the following reports:

“The production was amazing. It was in our school hall which was great because it was easier to imagine what the castle or the hill or the wood or the court was.  The first impression was how amazing the costumes were and how funny but well played the people were.

If I was to write an opening it would be …Do you want to see a  mouth-dropping spectacle? Then you need to see MACBETH!!! It is the perfect mix of interactive and fun but at the same time scary and dark.” - Ananya

“The actor of Macbeth was very realistic: he executed every line and action with perfect ease! The first time the lights went off, it was done in such a way that it looked like the sun was actually setting! It knocked my socks off. The fight scene was so good I’ll remember it for years to come. The facial expressions and actions were mind-blowing!” - Edward

“They brought the characters to life by using the costumes, letting us imagine their feelings and truly acting them out! My favorite scene was when Lady Macbeth was sleep walking, as that really had shown her true feelings!” - Charlie

All of Year 6 would like to say a massive THANK YOU to the PTA for funding this theatre visit.
