Historically, children have transferred from Bowdon Church School to the following secondary schools. There are other secondary schools that could also be considered.

Many parents ask Y5 and Y6 teachers for advice on schools, but the most important advice we can offer is to visit the schools and their website for up-to-date information on their curriculum and admissions policy. Admission policies can change from year to year and are often dependent on where you live. It is also helpful to talk to parents who have recent experience of their older children transferring to secondary schools.

Some independent schools offer bursaries and scholarships; many of our past pupils have benefited from these.

Parents must complete an online form: CAF (Common Application Form) by 31st October preceding the September entry date. When completing the CAF, you should always put the schools in your real order of preference.
