There have been lots of sporting activities in school
Y4 Handball Festival
On 13th March Ms Parle took 2 teams to this year’s Year 4 Trafford handball tournament. The children were all very positive throughout the afternoon and displayed some fantastic team work. Both teams faced some tough competition in their groups, only marginally missing out on the play-offs by goal difference.
The children should all be very proud of their achievement and of their exemplary behaviour and attitude throughout. Well done to all involved.
Girls Tag Rugby Event
On Friday 28th March, Ms Parle and Mrs Halsall took a group of Y6 girls to a Tag Rugby Taster session, organised by England Rugby’s School Rugby Manager at Sale FC/ Sale Sharks Training ground.
The girls took part in a variety of training practices and small-sided games. The girls all worked really hard & had lots of fun. It was such a pleasure to see all their smiling faces.
It was a wonderful afternoon and the children were all fantastic BCS ambassadors. They were also treated to a surprise visit from one of our past pupils, Sale Sharks fly-half Charlie Wardle, who kindly took time away from his training to come and visit our children.
Cross Country
Charlie and Oscar from Y5 took part in a Junior cross-country run at Heaton Park at the weekend. They were pleased to finish first (Oscar) and second (Charlie) for the first time.
What a fantastic result boys!
