'Pupils show high levels of respect...They know the qualities of a good friend and are sensitive to the needs of classmates who may struggle with their learning.'
Ofsted 2025

At Bowdon Church School, we strive to provide a fully inclusive environment, supporting and encouraging children to reach their full potential. Together with the pastoral team, our provision aims to create a loving, caring and respectful school in which we all feel the security of being in the hands of the Good Shepherd.
The school took part in the PiNS Project in 2025-26 (Partnership for inclusion of Neurodiversity in Schools). This programme is a collaborative national initiative across England designed to help mainstream primary schools better support neurodiverse children.
Schools were then encouraged to apply for accreditation, and we were awarded Silver accreditation - the first school in Trafford to receive this award! This was awarded to us for embedding inclusive practice, strengthening workforce knowledge, engaging families and improving outcomes for our children through cohesive working. We are very proud of the continued development of our inclusive practice at Bowdon Church School.
The school's SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Coordinators are Mr Dylan McCarthy (SENDCo) and Mrs Steph Ailion (Assistant SENDCo). They can be contacted by email at sendco@bowdoncs.org
