'Above all, love each other deeply.' Peter 4:8

What we do for others says much about who we are.

Bowdon Church School has a long, established record for the support of local, national and international charities. Pupils themselves are involved in choosing the charities that often reflect issues close to their homes and hearts.

St. Mary's Church

We are very proud of the difference our church makes to the local community. They have a myriad of events planned throughout the year that help bring the community together and develop a strong fellowship. Please visit: http://www.bowdonchurch.org/community/  for more information. St. Mary's supports a number of mission agencies and charities, they include: The Message Trust, Hideaway, Christians Against Poverty, Fishermen’s Mission, Tearfund, Mercy Ships and Toybox.

Overseas Partnership

Since 2008, our main school charity has been UgandAid. UgandAid is a charity which supports young people from desperately poor backgrounds to access skills training so they can gain a job in many spheres which include plumbing, catering, tailoring etc.

Each year, our pupils take part in a host of fundraising activities to support our friends in Uganda. We support students and members of staff take part in projects. Please click on the link below for more information about this amazing project.

Harvest Festival - donations of food

Every year we are amazed at the generosity of our families who donate food to our harvest festival celebrations. These gifts are distributed in the community, but particularly to Wood Street Mission in Manchester to support the homeless through the winter months.
