Wraparound Child Care

Breakfast Club and After School Childcare by Kids Collective

We are fortunate to have high quality on-site childcare for before and after school provided by Kids Collective. In 2016, the club was awarded Outstanding in every area by Ofsted. Kids Collective staff work closely with school to ensure quality care for Reception to Year 6.

Breakfast Club (Reception to Year 6) - Kids Collective

The Kids Collective Breakfast club currently operates based in the drama studio every morning from 7:30am onwards and provides breakfast together with a warm friendly start to the day.

Parents dropping their children at the start of the day are requested drop their children off directly to the studio door.  Cars can pull up briefly into the drop off zone between 7.30 and 8.10 a.m. in order to do this but not be parked there for longer than a couple of minutes.

After School (Year 1 to Year 6) - Kids Collective

The Kids Collective after school club is situated in the drama studio, food technology room and Arts Hall each day. The children also play outside in the secure playground under supervision. Please ring the bell at the drama studio door to collect your child.  If you are arriving around a club pick up time  between 4 and 5.30, please do not park on the internal road, please park in the staff car park.   A healthy meal is provided, together with a range of different activities each day.

Parents are not able to walk through the main school building due to safeguarding and security issues.

The club provides care up to 6:00pm under normal circumstances

Please can parents remember to notify Kids Collective direct if your child is not attending club on a particular evening to ensure the safeguarding of all children. Thank you.

Places are limited and all enquires should be with Kids Collective direct and not through school.

Reception After School Childcare

The school is able to provide an after school club exclusively for Reception children, led by members of the Reception team and based in their own area. This enables the children to have continuity of care throughout the day, in a familiar environment. Childcare will be available up to 5:30pm and includes an afterschool snack. Parents may opt to book for an earlier finish time of 4:30pm but late collections will incur an additional charge. A booking form and further information will be sent to parents in the summer term before starting in September. After September, please contact the school office for further information and to enquire if additional places are available.

After school clubs

Bowdon Church School offers many different clubs after school, which are communicated to parents each term and booked through Arbor. Places are limited and the range of clubs can vary termly, depending on available staffing, but they include a large variety of sports, music, art and drama. These activities normally last for 1 hour at the end of school and there is a charge to pay for staffing and resources. Children who are eligible for Free School Meals are offered a free place on request. Please follow the link below to our club page for further details or email clubsandtrips@bowdoncs.org for more specific questions.

It is not advisable to depend on clubs for after school childcare since places from term to term cannot be guaranteed. Children attending clubs should be interested in the activity and ready to adhere to high expectations of behaviour throughout. There is no flexibility on collection times as sports coaches and staff often have ongoing commitments and cannot stay to supervise children.
