Imagine That! Science and Discovery Centre
Fri 11 Feb 2022The whole of Reception and Year One had a fabulous day at Imagine That! on Friday. There was so much to discover and so much fun to be had. The children explored the hands-on science area, watched exciting science experiments, played in the Imagination Village and construction and water play areas. We thoroughly enjoyed watching them all have such a great time.

National Storytelling Week
Thu 03 Feb 2022It has been wonderful to see the children enjoying National Storytelling Week. Events have been taking place across the school to celebrate the magic of stories and getting lost in a book. Storytelling has such a positive impact on childhood development. It can inspire a love of reading and writing, help to develop key thinking skills as well as broadening vocabulary and inspiring creativity. Children have been actively involved in choosing new books for their class libraries as well as voting for their daily story or class novel. The reading cafes in some of our Key Stage 1 classrooms have been very popular this week. We have many more exciting events planned in the coming weeks in the build up to World Book Day, so watch this space!
