  • Royal Academy of Arts Winner!

    Sat 28 May 2022

Harvey’s artwork ‘With great power comes great responsibility’, which was submitted and chosen for this year’s RA Young Artists’ Summer Show, has been chosen by the President Rebecca Salter to receive the ‘President’s Prize’.  This is an unbelievable accomplishment for Harvey, as not only has he had his work chosen for the exhibition from over 21,000 artworks, but has also been awarded a prize! Two artists in every Key Stage are awarded a prize, and the President also awards a prize to an artwork they deem outstanding, in this case, she has chosen Harvey’s artwork which she immediately fell in love with.

Harvey has won an art voucher to spend on art materials and has been invited to a special Prize Winners Ceremony at the Royal Academy in July.
Harvey and 4 guests have been invited to the opening of the Summer Exhibition at The Royal Academy of Art in London - we are so proud of him!

  • Triathlon

    Thu 26 May 2022

On Tuesday 24th May, Ms Parle took 46 of our BCS children from Years 4, 5 & 6 to take part in the Brownlee Foundation Mini-Triathlon Event in Manchester at Hough End Leisure Centre. The event was non competitive, designed to be fun & inclusive & aimed to give the children the opportunity to try the disciplines of triathlon; swim, cycle & run.
Our children thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity & all gave it their very best with some very impressive performances. It was a real pleasure to see the children all trying something new & having so much fun. Thank you so much to all our parent volunteers who helped make the afternoon possible!
