  • Hockey Tournament

    Thu 03 Mar 2022

Tournament number two of the school year, and we were moved into a pool with tougher opposition so it was much more of a challenge for the team. As ever, the team represented BCS in an impeccable manner, even with the tough winds that were faced throughout the evening!

We played three matches in total against Navigation, Altrincham CofE and St Vincent’s. With the tougher competition in these matches, and a combined effort throughout the team with some fantastic goals and brilliant saves in goal, we finished the tournament with a win, a loss and a draw overall. The organiser went out of his way to congratulate the team and say how impressed he was with the standard of play that he had seen in the BCS players- well done!

  • Inspirational Fundraising for the British Red Cross

The Y6 WW2 history project has inspired Izzy, who decided she wanted to do a charity cake sale for the Red Cross because of the support they gave her Great Grandad while he was a POW in Italy.
The Red Cross is currently helping people affected by the conflict in Ukraine, both inside the country and in bordering nations.

  • Amazing Teamwork!

    Thu 03 Mar 2022

Last Thursday, our Y3/4 team had great fun at the Bowling tournament and worked fantastically well together, to come second overall, out of 18 teams. They are very proud of their trophy! Our Y5/6 team came 5th and our KS1 team came 6th. Incredible!

On Friday, a team of 12 Y3 pupils also took part in a Teamwork Festival at BTH. They had a wonderful time and worked really well as a team, supporting and encouraging each other through all the challenges and puzzles.

Well done to everyone for their excellent teamwork and attitude.
