  • ‘Guess how long the teachers have been at BCS’ Competition Winners for Ugandaid

    Fri 02 Nov 2018

Congratulations to Zach (Y6) and Louis (Y4) who both correctly answered the junior teacher sheet and Florence (Y4) and Lucy (Y2) who both scored 7/10 on the infant sheet. Due to there being 2 winners in each category, Mrs Cochrane put the names in a hat to see who would win the MASSIVE bars. The lucky winners were Zach and Florence, however she could not let the others go empty handed and Louis and Lucy also received a sizeable bar each! Thank you to everyone who took part, you helped to raise £60 towards Ugandaid.

Keep a look out for Mrs Cochrane’s next fundraising venture… Raffles!

Chance to win... a Micro Scooter, a Christmas themed Netball and a Set Up Camp sleepover.

  • County League Coders!

    Fri 02 Nov 2018

We have received very exciting news this week: BCS are the number one primary coders in the county. We have beaten all the other primary schools across Cheshire due to the apps we have been making and sharing in our Computing lessons over the past year. We proudly received our certificate yesterday! We are now about to embark on a nationwide Computational Thinking Challenge called ‘The Bebras Challenge’. The top scorers will be invited to take part in a further round at Oxford University - fingers crossed we are as successful in our computational thinking as we have been in our coding.

  • Go4th Sunday 28th October

    Fri 02 Nov 2018

This month’s Go4th service was based on the parable of the mustard seed.  As usual the children took part in a variety of activities and games and this month they enjoyed burying a chocolate button in a cake under a mound of icing and making an expanding mustard seed inscribed with the message ‘Where God’s in charge, small things grow large, and in God’s hand, small gifts expand’.  Circle time was led by Rev Jess who read the children’s story ‘The Mustard Seed’.
