School Visits and Activities

At Bowdon Church School we recognise the stimulus of educational visits and of welcoming visitors to school.  Each year group goes on several topic linked day visit each year; with additional trips for theatre visits, safety training, music concerts and performances, visits to places of worship and various workshops.  All children have the opportunity to attend all visits.

 

In Years 5 and 6 the children attend a residential visit to an activity centre.  There the children take part in exercises and experiences to build resilience and perseverance.  They also take part in team building activities and are challenged by new experiences.

 

The children visit Bowdon Parish Church for services through the year.

 

In addition we welcome visitors who are able to enhance our curriculum to Bowdon Church School.  These can be a theatre group, musicians, sports personalities or a visitor able to explain their work to the children.  We believe that showing the children the huge range of interests and careers available to them encourages a keen approach to learning.
