Topic Work

Our topic this half term is: ‘Home Is Where the Heart is’.

 

English 

We are focusing on a range of traditional stories and rhymes. We will read some fairytales and stories and poems with familiar, predictable patterned language from a range of cultures.

 

Science

Materials. Sorting and using materials. Identifying commonly used materials and their features; observing their use in common objects; describing by sight and touch; suitability of materials for different jobs.

 

Geography

Homes around the world – Why homes are built out of different materials. Also, we will go on a walk to look at the buildings in Bowdon Vale.

 

History

Homes in the 1950’s – when Grandparents were young.
