Hello Year 1!

 

We hope that you have had a lovely bank holiday weekend, celebrating VE Day at home. 

 

This week we will be continuing our space topic and reading The Man on the Moon by Simon Bartram. You will also learn the names of the planets in our Solar System, as well as doing some research into Neil Armstrong.

 

In Maths this week we are continuing to use Power Maths, and will use both the text book and practice book.

• Use the TEXT book pages (on screen or printed out) to discuss and work through the questions together with your child to make sure they understand the topic.
• Then let them complete the questions in the PRACTICE book on their own, supporting them where necessary. Remember, page 1 is for everyone, page 2 is for most children and page 3 is a challenge.
