Helping the community and saying thank you!

Miss Puntel has been busy sewing face masks for her local GP and neighbours and the Y6 girls who made bags for scrubs for the NHS had this lovely photo sent to them as a thank you.

Mrs Yeung (BCS TA) and her daughter are making face visors for the NHS, community care and nursing home staff with Jo Cushing in the community art studio in Altrincham. They are aiming to make 24,000 face visors and get them to the front line as there is a big lag between central government, procurement, distribution & front line staff.  Although the news informs us that ‘the curve is flattening’ and pressure is easing on the NHS, Covid-19 patients need ventilating for much longer than usual and Intensive Care Units remain incredibly busy with low PPE supplies. They are asking schools, leisure centres and businesses to check their first aid supplies and contact us if you have any gloves, masks or plastic aprons that you are able to donate.

Supplies can be dropped into:Open Studios: 20 Stamford New Road, Altrincham, WA14 1EJ. or contact Mrs Yeung.

Well done to Olivia (RH), family (and friends) who have donated over 200 surgical face masks, 6 coveralls and a pair of goggles. Those items are going to Wythenshawe Hospital tomorrow.

If you can help by donating equipment that would be great or you can make a donation via Altrincham Open Studios GoFundMe page
