Y6 in Court!

Last Friday Mrs Thompson, Mrs Teague and 16 Y6 children visited Tameside Magistrates Court for a mock trial competition run by Greater Manchester Magistrates Association, for Trafford schools. We were the Defence team, defending two teenagers accused of arson. Our wonderfully poised and confident defence solicitors put up excellent arguments and our defendants were found not guilty! 

This was a brilliant, first-hand experience of how the justice system works, and as always, the children were a credit to themselves and to BCS. 

Thank you to those parents who gave up their morning to drive the children to Tameside and back!
